The front end GUI for Ember/EmberCL is named Fractorium and borrows much functionality from existing editors and improves upon them. It has a similar feel to Fractron while implementing most of Apophysis’ functionality.

In addition to rendering still images, it can also render animations. However, it cannot generate animation sequences, which still must be done on the command line via EmberGenome.

Qt was chosen as the GUI library because the alternatives were too platform specific. This allows it to be built for Windows, Mac and Linux.

It supports CPU/GPU rendering and is only built for 64-bit hardware.
